About Us

Our Philosophy - Gentle, Ethical, Joyful

At Wings of Nurture, we believe every child deserves:

  • Dignity — unconditional respect and safety

  • Connection — relationships first, skills second

  • Affirmation — celebrating their natural movements, expressions, interests, and identities

  • Joy — learning through play, laughter, curiosity, and comfort

We approach behavior with curiosity, not judgment. We support families with compassion and cultural humility. We center the whole child—not just the challenges.

Meet Lu - Founder of Wings of Nurture

I’m Luciana, Lu for short, a behavioral scientist and child advocate dedicated to creating nurturing, neurodiversity-affirming environments. My experience spans school settings, in-home support, and community-based programs for children with autism, ADHD, and developmental delays.

Over the years, I’ve supported children with high-intensity behavioral needs, led social skills groups, trained staff, and partnered with families to create compassionate, effective care plans.

Wings of Nurture is my heart—designed to blend structure with gentleness, evidence with empathy, and support with dignity.

Experience & Qualifications

For the past 20 years, I have dedicated my educational career to advancing equity and access for all students. I believe every child is unique and deserves a stimulating environment that nurtures growth academically, physically, emotionally, and socially. In my work, I focus on creating warm, structured, and inclusive spaces where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

My approach is grounded in consistency, diligence, and genuine care. I see my role not only as an educator, but as a partner to families and the community. I collaborate closely with students, colleagues, and parents to support each learner’s strengths and needs, and I strive to model the same traits—resilience, curiosity, compassion, and responsibility—that I hope to inspire in the children and young people I serve.

I view teaching as a lifelong learning process. I am continually seeking new strategies, ideas, and perspectives to better support diverse learners. As my philosophy evolves over time, it reflects my growth as an educator and my ongoing commitment to improving the experiences and outcomes of the students I work with.
